The eggplant cow and the cucumber horse are believed to be the rides
that help loved ones return to their families.

そのため、🍆なすの牛や🥒きゅうりの馬の足には、
「おがら（麻幹）」という、
皮をむいた麻の茎を使う家庭もありました。
地域や時代によって作り方は少し違います。
それでも、ご先祖様を迎えたいという気持ちは、
今も昔も変わらない日本の夏の風景です。
