「見立てる」。
英語では、
see … as …
の感覚で表すことができます。
たとえば、
「月の模様を rabbit として see。」
「この形を flower として see。」
「雲を animal として see。」
こんなふうに、
あるものを見て、
別のものの姿としてとらえる感じです。
月の模様そのものが
うさぎになるわけではありません。
でも、
その形を見て、
「うさぎみたい」
と感じる。
そんなときの「見立てる」に近い感覚です。
It can help you understand
the feeling of 「見立てる」.
You look at one thing
and see the shape or image of something else in it.
For example,
people in Japan may see the patterns on the moon as a rabbit.
The pattern does not actually become a rabbit.
It is about how we interpret what we see.
