💭 Story Note
In Japan, “Summer Jumbo” is the name of a large seasonal lottery.
Jumbo lotteries are sold several times a year, and each one is connected to a season or special period. “Summer Jumbo” is the summer edition.
Many people buy a few tickets just for fun and keep them until the winning numbers are announced.
In this story, Sakura finds an old ticket mixed in with the newer ones. Because lottery tickets from different years can look similar at a glance, checking the date is important too.
For Sakura and Sumire, though, the mistake becomes one more reason for a cat punch. 🐾

to check something now or sometime before it is needed later.
Try mixing it into English:

“Can you 見ておいて this number later?”
“When you have time, 見ておいて this for me.”
The goal is not to make perfect English.
It is to feel that 見ておいて means more than simply “look.”
